“Sõprus” (meaning “Friendship” in Estonian) is a unique cinema located in Tallinn’s Old Town, dedicated to true film lovers. It screens the best films from international festival programs, mostly in their original languages with Estonian and/or Russian subtitles. Beyond daily screenings, the cinema is renowned for its themed film weeks, retrospectives, and various festivals. The building, opened in 1955, stands out with its architecture featuring a massive columned façade, while the interior combines a retro atmosphere with modern cinema technology. “Sõprus” is not just a cinema but also a cultural venue where the spirit of the Old Town meets art and community.
