The “Lucky Chimney Sweeper” is a cheerful bronze sculpture located in Tallinn’s Old Town at Suur-Karja Street 19. It was created by Estonian sculptor Tauno Kangro. It is said that chimney sweeps with shiny buttons always brought good luck, and even today people believe that touching the sculpture’s buttons attracts fortune. Beneath it, small bronze footprints cast into the pavement symbolize the chimney sweeps who once walked across the rooftops. This sculpture has become a popular stop for both locals and tourists – a place to take photos, touch a symbol of luck, and experience the atmosphere of city legends.
