The Kaukas Stairs Fountain is one of the most beautiful spots in Kaunas, where interwar architecture meets modern design. Originally built after World War II, the fountain became a popular relaxation area. During its renovation, the abandoned pool was replaced with a granite-paved square featuring illuminated fountains. The site also preserves the interwar-era sculpture Rest by sculptor Bronislovas Zalensas, adding authenticity to the space. The relaxation area is enhanced with granite benches, while 4-meter-tall stylistic lamps illuminate the surroundings. This is one of the most visited places in the city, inviting visitors to enjoy its historic atmosphere and tranquility.
