There are only two hammer museums in Lithuania, and one of them was established by Saulius Matusevičius in the village of Degučiai, Vilkaviškis district. The museum houses a collection of around 1,000 different hammers, each labeled with its country of origin and purpose. The exhibits span various fields, including fine work, stone carving, jewelry-making, and specialized hammers for judges and butchers.
The collection features hammers from the USA, Japan, England, Germany, and Russia, with the farthest exhibits coming from Australia. This unique museum offers an opportunity to learn about the crafts and traditions of different countries and cultures.
