The homestead near Paežeriai Lake was established by Vincas Kudirka's father, Motiejus. During World War I, the homestead was destroyed, but the granary, which the writer particularly cherished, survived. In 1965, teacher Stasys Ankevičius founded a museum at this site, which later became a branch of the Vilkaviškis Regional Museum. To commemorate Vincas Kudirka's 140th birth anniversary, a memorial bust created by sculptor Antanas Žukauskas was unveiled in 1998. Although the granary is no longer part of the museum and is now privately owned, it remains an important historical site.
