St. Louis Church in Veiveriai is located in the town of Veiveriai, near the main Marijampolė–Kaunas road. The history of this church dates back to 1782, when the first chapel was built. In 1818, Juozas Godlevskis, the owner of the Aukštoji Freda estate, built a wooden church, which served as a filial church of the Zapyškis parish. During that time, there was a parish school here, and in 1846, a separate parish was established.
The current church was built in 1853, also at the initiative of Juozas Godlevskis, and it was consecrated in 1887 by Bishop Joseph Olekas of Sejny. The church community was actively involved in various societies, including the establishment of a branch of the "Žiburys"
Society in 1907, and in 1912, the society's house was built, which included a shop and a tea room.
During the First World War, the church was heavily damaged, and part of the tower was destroyed. Restoration work began in 1922 and was successfully continued in 1934–1935 by Father Mykolas Krupavičius, who expanded the church, strengthened the ceiling, and renovated the tower and floors. After the Second World War, Father Antanas Pangonis built a brick rectory, but it was confiscated by the Soviet authorities.
St. Louis Church in Veiveriai is of Neo-Renaissance style, with a rectangular plan, a single tower, and an apse. The churchyard is enclosed by a metal fence with a brick base.
