On April 1, 2014, the sculpture "Connection-2014", also known as "Union", was installed in Mažeikiai’s Old Town Park. This composition of two stones is interconnected by metal elements found in the scrap metal yard of UAB Šaja. The sculptor, Paulius Daujotas, aimed to convey the symbolic meaning of connection—how people’s lives, histories, and time intersect.
The sculpture was placed at a symbolic crossroads leading to the park, the museum, and the Music School, emphasizing constant movement. This artwork marked the beginning of the open-space decoration project "Sculptures in Mažeikiai City". According to the artist, every stone has a soul—it just needs to be felt.
