In Budavonė Forest, where priests Vaclovas Balsys, Jonas Petrikas, and Justinas Dabrila were brutally murdered in 1941, a monument with three crosses was erected in 1942. After the Soviet return, the monument was destroyed, but in 1989 it was rebuilt and consecrated by Bishop Juozas Žemaitis in a ceremony attended by 10,000 people.
