Vinkšnupiai Manor, located in the Vilkaviškis district, is a historical site renowned for its Tatar heritage. It is believed that Vinkšnupiai was gifted to a Tatar leader for his participation in the Battle of Grunwald. During the interwar period, the manor was owned by the Gavrilkevičiai family, who built a Neoclassical-style palace featuring an arcaded portico and balcony. Nearby, Tatar cemeteries remain as a testament to this heritage.
In 1939, the manor was home to General Wojciech Jaruzelski, who later became the last communist leader of Poland.
