Senvagė is one of the most beautiful places in Panevėžys, where the beauty of nature meets the modernity of the city. Here, you will find cycling and walking paths, observation and relaxation areas, as well as sports and play zones. In the summer, visitors are amazed by the impressive evening fountain shows featuring a dance of water, light, and music.

What is particularly interesting is that Senvagė was created due to the alteration of the Nevėžis River's course – today, it is not only a place of history but also a peaceful oasis in Panevėžys.

Senvagė, a hallmark of Panevėžys, is one of the city’s most popular attractions, enchanting both locals and visitors. This unique site blends natural beauty with vibrant cultural and sporting activities. Adorned with sculptures crafted by artists, Senvagė hosts festivals, sports competitions, and various events. On weekends, visitors can enjoy peaceful strolls along its modernized pathways and relaxing leisure areas. In recent years, Senvagė has undergone a transformation, featuring renovated pedestrian and cycling
paths, playgrounds, sports facilities, and observation spots. Summer evenings bring added magic as the fountain’s water, light, and music performances draw crowds to the area. Interestingly, the Nevėžis River does not flow through its natural course here but through a man-made channel. This adjustment was made to combat frequent floods that once devastated the city. A new channel was excavated, and the former river bend was transformed into a city park, now a beloved destination for residents and tourists alike.
