The first printing house in Panevėžys, operating from 1880 to 1935, printed the most important publications of the time. Alongside it, there was a library, reading room, and bookstore. Today, this historic building is home to the Gabrielė Petkevičaitė-Bitė Public Library of Panevėžys County.
