Ray Bartkus creates a surreal space by incorporating stairs and architectural elements alongside real stairs and walls. This artistic composition draws the viewer out of everyday life and questions the boundaries between reality and illusion. The artist encourages us to doubt our perception of reality, emphasizing that the images in our minds can transform the surrounding world. In the context of this work, it can be argued that imagination not only reflects but also creates our reality.
