The Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (IAE), operating from December 31, 1983, to December 31, 2009, was renowned for its two largest reactors in the world and was listed in the Guinness World Records. During the construction of the plant, 142 km of roads, 50 km of railway tracks, 390 km of communication lines, 334 km of power transmission lines, and 133 km of sewage lines were laid, along with 164 km of heat network pipelines. The construction utilized 3,544,000 m³ of reinforced concrete and 76,480 tons of steel reinforcement.
This massive IAE complex leaves a lasting impression on both children and adults.
