This is an elongated hill surrounded by valley fields. To the northeast of the hillfort, beyond a hollow, there is another hill. The slopes of the hillfort are gentle, about 15 meters high, and have been disturbed by plowing. The platform is oval, measuring 77 × 30 meters, with a raised center. At the edges, there are remnants of a cultural layer about 0.3 meters thick. Fragments of hand-made pottery with corded and smooth surfaces and slag have been found. A cultural layer 0.45–0.9 meters thick remains on the northeastern and southwestern slopes of the hillfort. The hillfort was used from the 1st millennium BC to the mid-1st millennium AD. Exploratory archaeological research on Kazlupiškės Hillfort was conducted by archaeologists from the Scientific Methodological Council for Cultural Monument Protection in 1978 and 1985.
The hillfort offers a beautiful natural landscape, with a view of the blue Dysnai Lake in the distance.
