The Dūkšteliai Hillfort (Putrakalnis) is located in the Ignalina District, northwest of Dūkšteliai, in the Dūkštas eldership (unique code 33310). It can be accessed from Highway 102 Vilnius–Švenčionys–Zarasai by turning left towards Salakas before Parsvėtas Lake, then walking 100 meters south across a wet swamp before Samanys Lake.
In the southeastern and southwestern foothills of the hillfort, remnants of an ancient settlement have been found. In 1958, the Institute of History conducted exploratory research, and in 1966, V. Daugudis excavated an 8 m² area in the southern foothill. A cultural layer (0.5–1.1 m thick) revealed fragments of coarse, grooved, and smoothed pottery, iron slag, charred grains, and burnt stone pavements. The hillfort is dated to the 1st millennium. On December 9, 2009, it was included in the Register of Cultural Heritage by the Cultural Heritage Department's Immovable Cultural Heritage Assessment Council.
