The Curonian Spit, considered an exceptional creation of human and nature, spans the territories of two countries: the Republic of Lithuania and the Russian Federation. It was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in December 2000. To commemorate this event, a memorial marker in the shape of a pyramid was erected at the beginning of Lotmiškio Street in Nida, serving as a reminder to protect and preserve the cultural landscape of the Curonian Spit.
The sculpture's author is Gintautas Survila.
