A new tourist attraction - the HES stone in the Daugėliškis region!
The story of the HES stone: On May 15, 2019, a young man, eager to explore the depths of the Dysna River, decided to wade into it near the Padysniai hydroelectric power plant. As he stepped in, he slipped on a sharp-edged stone and decided to pull it ashore. To his surprise, it was not just any stone; it had human-like facial features. "I'll call it HES," he exclaimed. Thus, a new attraction was born in the Daugėliškis region, commemorated by "Dirbtuvė Krapštukas" and the Daugėliškis region community.
Nearby is the still-operational Padysniai hydroelectric power plant, built in 1958.
