In September 2014, at the request of the Genocide and Resistance Research Centre of Lithuania (LGGRTC), archaeologists exhumed the remains of partisans who died in December 1944 in Miškiniškės village, Kazitiškis eldership, Ignalina district.
During the exhumation, fragments of the remains of three individuals were found in coffins. It is likely that additional remains could have been scattered due to soil tilling in the area of the fire site.
On May 17, 2015, marking the Day of Partisan Remembrance, Army and Society Unity, three unknown partisans killed in Miškiniškės on the night of December 28, 1944, were solemnly reburied in the Švedriškės village cemetery.
In 2017, the LGGRTC erected a monument for the three unknown partisans in Švedriškės, which was honored during the 2018 Partisan Remembrance, Army and Society Unity Day.
