The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Vilnius is a distinguished monument of architectural heritage in Vilnius, representing the development of historicist architecture in the early 20th century. Designed in 1907 by Vaclovas Michnevičius, construction began in 1911 and continued after World War I. In 1922, the parish was officially established. By 1925, worship services were held in the unfinished church. Though it lacks towers, its historicism-style architecture features decorative façades with saint sculptures. In the second half of the 20th century, priest Stasys Lidys beautified its interior and surroundings. Consecrated in 1956 by Bishop Julijonas Steponavičius, the church remains an active center of faith and culture. Today, this Vilnius church attracts architecture lovers and cultural tourists, standing as a fine example of sacred architecture in Lithuania.
