Camel Park “Rakši” is located just 7 km from Cēsis and is home to more than 200 animals — camels, llamas, alpacas, lemurs, Australian kangaroos, zebras, Poitou donkeys, Valais Blackneck goats, Valais Blacknose sheep, Highland cattle, colorful Ara parrots, emus, ostriches, meerkats, guinea pigs, and rabbits. At Rakši, visitors can enjoy camel rides, llama walks, donkey cart rides, feeding lemurs in close contact, and many other attractions. At the Camel Café, guests can savor healthy pancakes and gourmet ice cream made with camel milk, as well as traditional Moroccan tagine cooked over an open fire. In the souvenir shop, you’ll

find cosmetics made with camel milk, various knits from camel, llama, and alpaca wool, as well as blankets filled with the wool of these animals. Rakši also produces organic fertilizer for gardeners and flower growers, enriched with manure from camels, llamas, and alpacas. The concept hotel “Rakši” is designed in Moroccan style, featuring numerous interior and design elements from Eastern culture. You’ll find camels everywhere — in wall decorations, on canvases, in décor, and even on the furniture.
