In the village of Digriai, you can find the preserved fragments of unique sacred heritage—the remnants of the former Friday (Pėdnyčia) Chapel. This historic site gained recognition during the 1863 uprising when a priest from Garliava held services there. Unfortunately, during the occupation years, the chapel was destroyed, and over time, due to a lack of maintenance, it began to deteriorate. It is a valuable cultural heritage site that reflects Lithuania’s struggle for freedom. Visiting the ruins of the Digriai Chapel allows you to connect with history and experience the spirit of the past. Nearby, you can also discover other cultural and natural landmarks that will enrich your journey.
