The sculpture "Bear's Paw" is a symbolic work of art located in the town of Tauragė. The sculpture was created by sculptor Osvaldas Neniškis, with architectural solutions designed by Professor Algirdas Žebrauskas. This artwork represents the legendary Samogitian totem – the Samogitian bear, which has become a symbol of strength and resilience.
The sculpture features an embossed bear’s paw, inviting visitors to place their hand on it and feel the spirit of Samogitia. It is believed that such a ritual provides strength and courage. This symbolic site highlights the significance of Samogitia, a European historical and ethnocultural region of Lithuania, and strengthens the connection to the traditions and values of the region.
