The Panevėžys City Art Gallery is a true treasure trove of art, open to all who are interested in fine art and culture. It is the largest visual arts center in the Aukštaitija region, operating since 1990. The gallery hosts exhibitions, concerts, educational programs, and other cultural events, while its collection boasts over 1,260 works of contemporary ceramics, visual art, photography, and artistic glass.
The gallery consists of three divisions: the Art Gallery, the Ceramics Pavilion, and the Photography Gallery. The Ceramics Pavilion is particularly notable, showcasing a collection from international ceramic symposiums, recognized as one of the largest in Eastern Europe. In 2017, the gallery became a member of the International Academy of Ceramics in Switzerland.
