In Gedrimas village, Ylakiai subdistrict, the surging Gedrimas Spring is one of the most significant natural heritage sites in Skuodas district. The water of this spring originates from pre-glacial lake sediments, which are covered by a thick layer of glacial till. The spring forms due to the discharge of groundwater in a nearby stream. For centuries, local residents have called it by the name of Vindašiai, and descendants of the Vindašiai family look after its maintenance. This site is not only historically valuable but also attracts tourists seeking tranquility in nature's embrace.
