The Neo-Gothic red brick chapel in northern Samogitia is renowned for the Feast of St. Roch, one of the most significant religious events in the region. Built in 1904, the chapel is believed to be the work of architect Karl Eduard Strandman. The original project was modified during construction, with a square tower featuring pediments erected in place of the planned vestibule, giving the structure the appearance of a church. It is speculated that this change was made by engineer-architect K. O. Kuntzelis, who oversaw the construction. The chapel, now an important tourist attraction, draws visitors with its Neo-Gothic architecture and rich history.
