Sinkhole "Įdubala"

Over a century ago, in 1912, a mysterious sinkhole appeared in Moliūnai Forest, with a depth of more than five meters. According to old legends, a young man tending a fire in an ancient barn encountered a cursed maiden seeking help. When the young man refused and cursed, the ground beneath them opened up, swallowing the unfortunate girl. At that moment, a giant serpent, the size of a massive log, emerged from the deep hole and slithered toward Moliūnai Hillfort. This site continues to captivate visitors with its mystery, drawing those who wish to witness this natural phenomenon intertwined with legends.
