Juozas Zdebskis Museum

The Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Šlavantai is a significant historical and cultural site in the Lazdijai district. From 1974 to 1984, it was served by Father Juozas Zdebskis, a 20th-century dissident and defender of religious rights. A memorial exhibit has now been established in the parish house where he lived, open to those interested in his legacy. Visitors can see unique liturgical garments and personal items belonging to the priest. The museum is open by appointment only.
