This archaeological site, covering approximately 30 x 18 meters, attracts visitors due to its rich past. In the early 20th century, numerous valuable artifacts were found here, including iron and bronze items, ancient clay vessels and shards, amber jewelry, and coins. The burial depth ranged from 40 to 120 centimeters. The cemetery is surrounded by a belt of trees and shrubs, although part of the burial ground was damaged by gravel excavation in the 20th century. Consequently, the area includes remnants of the cemetery, which are occasionally disturbed by wildlife such as foxes. On October 29, 1992, Laumiai Cemetery, also known as Apušrotas (unique code 3959), was granted registered cultural heritage status to ensure its protection and value for future generations.
