In this historically significant location, where the homestead of Povilas Kaminskas once stood, deadly clashes occurred on February 2, 1947, with an MGB military unit. During these battles, partisans from the Mindaugas group of the Šarūnas Battalion in the Dainava District lost their lives: Antanas Čėpla, codenamed Apuokas, born in 1915 in Elveriškės village, and Jonas Račius, known as Miškinis, born in 1919 in the Rudamina area. This site serves as a reminder of the partisans' struggle for independence and is an important historical stop worth visiting for anyone interested in Lithuanian history and partisan resistance.
