Zoopark is the first interactive zoo in Lithuania, located on the second floor of the Mega shopping and leisure center in Kaunas. It is home to 17 species and over 100 animals, including playful meerkats, spurred tortoises you can pet, a group of friendly rabbits, and colorful lorikeets you can feed by hand. Visitors can not only observe but also pet, feed, and interact with the animals. Zoopark is a popular destination for families and educational institutions. Children under 2 years of age are admitted for free, and children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult to ensure their safety and a positive experience. Zoopark is the first interactive zoo in Lithuania, opened in Kaunas Mega on June 22, 2017. Here, visitors have a unique opportunity to get up close with the animal world, experiencing direct contact with them. Visitors can pet, feed, interact with, and observe the animals. Zoopark is home to 17 species and more than 100 animals. You can see playful meerkats, pet spurred tortoises, make friends with a group of rabbits, and hand-feed colorful lorikeets that feed on nectar. These birds are very friendly and interact with every visitor. Children under the age of 2 enter for free, and children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult to ensure their safety and a positive experience. This unique educational project nurtures patience, gentleness,
care, responsibility, and understanding in children. Direct interaction with animals also has therapeutic benefits. The animals are cared for daily by professional keepers and veterinarians. They are fed quality, balanced diets according to specific feeding schedules. Zoopark offers activities suitable for everyone, from young children to adults.
