Žąsūgalos Hill

Žąsūgalos Hill, formerly known as Baltininkai Hill, is one of the defensive sites used for surveillance in ancient times. Rising 210.3 meters above sea level, the hill offers stunning views of the Samogitian landscape. From this vantage point, notable hillforts such as Medvėgalis, Girgždūtė, Šatrija, Moteraitis, and Sprūdė can be seen. The hill is bordered by the Virvytė River to the south and east.

According to legend, the hill got its name because it was a common resting place for geese flying overhead.
