The Evangelical Lutheran Church, located near the old post office, was built in 1841 and quickly became an important community center. That same year, a Lutheran school was established next to the church, and later a tower was added, enhancing the church's architectural ensemble.
However, during World War II, the church suffered significant damage: it was closed, damaged, and the cross and bell were removed from the tower. After the war, in the post-war years, church property and land were nationalized, and the church building was repurposed for various uses—it was turned into a grain storage facility and later into a sports hall with a pool added.
It was only in 1992 that the church was returned to the Evangelical Lutheran congregation, regaining its historical significance and becoming a religious site where services and community activities are once again held.
