On June 21, 1926, the cornerstone for the construction of Naujoji Ūta Church was blessed, and the construction began on the same day. The new church was wooden and differed little in traditional form from churches of the 19th century. However, in 1944, during World War II, the church was destroyed by fire. After the fire, the parish house became the place of worship. In 1948, parish activities ceased, and the former church was taken over by the collective farm and converted into a recreation center.

The construction of Naujoji Ūta Church was only resumed in 1988. On September 17, 1989, Bishop J. Žemaitis blessed the church foundations, a cross erected in the churchyard, and a restored wayside shrine in the village. On August 2, 1992, thanks to Monsignor J. Užupis and local parishioners, the church was completed, and Bishop J. Žemaitis consecrated it in the name of St. Vincent de Paul.
