Chapel of St. James in Ančiškiai

Located on the northern edge of the Ančiškiai settlement, the Chapel of St. James is an important cultural heritage site. Built in 1736 and reconstructed in 1846, this wooden chapel belongs to the Vabalninkas Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is one of the active and well-maintained wooden chapels in the Vabalninkas district. The chapel is included in the popular tourist route "Wooden Churches and Chapels of the Biržai Region," attracting visitors interested in the region's history and architecture.
