The Palanga Sea Bridge is one of the most visited landmarks in Lithuania's largest resort, attracting thousands of tourists every year. This unique spot allows visitors to admire the impressive landscapes of the Baltic Sea, the golden beach, and the gently rustling dunes. The crashing waves and the cries of seagulls create a special atmosphere, and the evenings here become a true oasis of romance – sunsets watched from the bridge are simply mesmerizing. The history of the Sea Bridge dates back to the late 19th century when the Tiškevičius family built a pier here. Initially, the bridge was used for exporting goods, but later it became a popular walking spot for both locals
and vacationers. In 1998, the bridge was reconstructed and adapted for modern needs. It now stretches 470 meters and is firmly anchored with concrete piles, ensuring its longevity. The square next to the Sea Bridge is also famous for the "Jūratė and Kastytis" sculpture, created in 1961 by sculptor N. Gaigalaitė. This sculpture symbolizes the legend of eternal love, further strengthening the bridge and square's iconic status in Palanga. The Sea Bridge is a must-visit spot for anyone wanting to experience the true spirit of the seaside. Here, not only are there stunning natural views, but a peaceful atmosphere invites visitors to relax and enjoy the magic of Palanga.
