In Jūratė and Kastytys Square in Palanga, stands a monument to the first Lithuanian public performance, which took place in 1899 at the Tiškevičiai family's goods warehouse. The performance, based on Keturakis' play "America in the Bathhouse", marked a significant moment in Lithuania's cultural history.
In 1969, a wooden stele was erected, but in 1989, to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the performance, a granite stele was unveiled at the site, created by sculptor Regimantas Midvikis. The monument honors the location of the first Lithuanian public performance, highlighting the importance of Lithuanian cultural history.
