The Old Jewish Cemetery in Palanga, located near Naglio Hill, speaks to the history of the local Jewish community. After the 1830 fire, which destroyed the burial registration books, Jewish burials were relocated to a new cemetery on the outskirts of the city.
The cemetery still contains 10 granite and concrete matzevot with Hebrew inscriptions. In 1991, a memorial was erected here, and in 2008, the cemetery was included in the Lithuanian cultural heritage register. This is a unique site in Palanga, bearing witness to Jewish cultural heritage and encouraging interest in the city's history.
