The ancient Karpai Manor, situated in a charming corner of Lithuania by the Mažupė stream, opens the pages of history, taking us back to the 17th century when this land became the property of the Karpai family. This family remained the owners until 1940, leaving behind a valuable cultural heritage. The manor estate preserves a unique collection of architectural gems, including the authentic palace building, remnants of the orangery, and farm buildings. Surrounding the manor is an impressive 27-hectare park, with a history dating back approximately 200 years. The newly renovated park invites visitors to enjoy the beauty of nature and the historic charm of the manor's surroundings. Although the manor buildings are now used by the Lithuanian Institute of Agriculture's Joniškėlis Experimental Station and are not open to visitors, the unique historical atmosphere still pervades the area.
