On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Donatas Banionis' birth, a sculpture of the actor was unveiled near the Juozas Miltinis Drama Theatre, depicting him walking towards the theatre. The sculpture is placed in a symbolic location – beneath the makeup room windows, among trees planted by Banionis himself along with his colleagues. The base of the sculpture portrays the actor's artistic journey, reflecting the most significant films and performances of his career. It is believed that touching the sculpture’s hair brings creative success.
