On Beržų Street in Vaineikiai Village, at the site of the former Kiauleikis homestead, stands a monumental cross commemorating Kazimieras Laureckas, leader of the Hawk Squad in the Narimantas Company of the Kardo Unit of the Žemaičiai District, and partisan Kazimieras Pudžmius, who perished on June 27, 1948. This monument symbolizes the memory of freedom fighters and honors their sacrifice.
The cross was unveiled on October 1, 2000, through the initiative of Julijonas Mickus, a participant in the freedom struggles, and was created by Adolfas Kontrimas.
