At Darbėnai Cemetery (Palangos St. 8A), a gravestone memorial and commemorative plaque honor Adomas Vaičekauskas, a partisan from the Žemaičiai Region’s Kardo Detachment, who fell on February 16, 1947, in Auksūdžiai village and was secretly reburied from the Darbėnai gravel pits. The memorial also commemorates his family members—deportees Bronislava Vaičekauskienė (1921–2002) and Stanislovas Vaičekauskas (1944–2014).
