The Millennium Forest is a special gift to Lithuania, established to commemorate the nation’s millennium. This mixed forest spans 55.4 hectares in Kulių village, Jūžintai eldership. At the center of the forest stands a symbolic stone surrounded by ten oak saplings, each representing a century, thus honoring Lithuania’s history.
The forest was planted through the joint efforts of the local community, with contributions from Jūžintai eldership employees and students from the local secondary school. This site is a perfect blend of nature and history, attracting ecological tourism enthusiasts and travelers seeking unique landmarks in the Rokiškis district. The Millennium Forest is not only a green legacy but also a significant symbol of history.
