Salos Manor: A Residence for Culture and Leisure

Salos Manor, a neoclassical-style building, is located on the largest island in a lake, uniquely shaped like the contours of Lithuania. The manor was built in the 17th century by the Moriconi family, who arrived in Lithuania with Bona Sforza. Later, the manor became renowned for the luxurious feasts organized by the Tyzenhauz family. Salos Manor also served as a filming location for J. Krisiūnas' movie "Hearts."
Since 2021, the manor has operated as a residence for culture and leisure. Visitors can participate in educational activities such as candy-making or chocolate painting, enjoy horse and pony rides, and delight in foam shows for children. The manor also offers open minibus tours of the surrounding area and showcases the works of Rokiškis folk artists. The restored manor provides a unique experience for history, culture, and entertainment enthusiasts alike.
