Museum of Freedom Fights

The Museum of Freedom Fights, located in a former narrow-gauge railway station, invites visitors to explore the history of the Utena region and Lithuania from 1940 to 1965. The exhibition, designed with a focus on historical contrasts, allows for a comparison of life behind the Iron Curtain and in the free world. Six thematic sections reveal the impact of totalitarian regimes on Lithuania and Europe as a whole. This unique museum offers an opportunity to understand the broader history of the country and Europe through the lens of one region's past.
