The historic Toliūnai Water Mill, dating back to 1857, is a valuable part of the region's heritage, connected to the agricultural activities of Toliūnai Manor. After a fire in 1905, likely caused by the oil from old machinery, a new mill was built from fieldstones, which has survived to this day. The three-story building housed millstones, hoppers, and devices for bagging flour and grits, with living quarters in the western part.
During World War I, the mill was controlled by the Germans and later came into the hands of Jewish owners from the Pakruojis region, who operated it by hiring local workers. In 1927, Agnieška Jasukevičienė, who had returned from the USA, purchased the mill and introduced wool processing equipment, making the mill famous throughout the region. During the Soviet era, an electric motor was installed, but over time the mill ceased operations and is now an abandoned private property.
