The history of Plinkšiai Manor dates back to 1717, when this charming spot, along with Kuršėnai, came under the possession of Jacob Gruževski, the Chancellor of the Duchy of Samogitia. In the mid-19th century, the manor was acquired by the Plater family, who, according to legend, won it in a card game. The manor and park's owner, Konstantinas Broel Plater, who is memorialized in a grave on the picturesque shore of Lake Plinkšiai, built the luxurious late Classicism-style palace at the end of the 19th century. The exquisite architecture of the palace can still be admired today.

Originally, the Plinkšiai Manor Palace was rectangular in shape with high basements
and two residential floors. The palace featured elegantly arranged representative halls, living rooms, and guest quarters, with façades adorned by balustrades and stuccos.
The heart of the manor ensemble consists of the representative part, which includes the palace, a landscaped park, and the White Gates. On a hill by the lake shore, there are old graves dating back to the Swedish times, where the manor owner K. Plater rests. Although the Plinkšiai Manor Palace is currently under restoration, there is a lack of funds to complete the work. However, the Plinkšiai Park remains meticulously maintained and offers a pleasant experience for visitors.
