On December 3, 1922, a confrontation occurred in Kučiūnai village with the Polish army, during which Tarasas Fiodorovas, a member of the 1st partisan group of the Riflemen's Union (born in Puodžiškiai village, Kučiūnai district, Sejny County), was killed. He was only 20 years old. Tarasas was buried in the Puodžiškiai Old Believers Cemetery, and his memory was honored—on July 11, 1931, he was posthumously awarded the Star of the Riflemen, which was presented to his brother Savascejus by Captain Aksomaitis, the commander of the IX Battalion of the Riflemen's Union.
