This impressive oak is one of the oldest and most majestic trees in Lithuania, reaching a height of 32.5 meters. Its trunk circumference at 1.3 meters above ground is 5.4 meters, and the tree is approximately 450 years old. The hollow inside is so large that it can accommodate 5–6 adults. During World War II, local residents used this oak as a hiding place, storing food, belongings, and even livestock inside. In 2008, the oak was declared a state-protected botanical natural heritage site by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania.
