In the heart of Utena, descending the stairs by the Krašuona River near the bridge, you can find a unique natural feature – the Pike Spring. The water from this spring gushes through two large pike heads, with water currents flowing from their open mouths into the river. The strength of the current depends on the amount of precipitation; after rainfall, the current is more intense, while during dry periods, it noticeably decreases.
The Krašuona River, which stretches over 20 kilometers, is one of five rivers flowing through Utena, connecting the city’s green spaces. Utena boasts four parks where visitors can walk along streams, lakes, and forests. Krašuona Park is particularly popular among locals, as residents walk here daily, connecting different city districts on foot.
