Memorial Plaque Marking the Birthplace of Algimantas Baltakis

On June 25, 2022, in Leliūnai, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the wall of the parish house in honor of poet, literary critic, and translator Algimantas Baltakis, known as one of the "three musketeers of poetry" and the author of 12 poetry collections. This plaque commemorates his memory at the place where he was born and spent the first three years of his life. The creator of the plaque is ceramic artist Eugenijus Čibinskas.
